Evaluation Guidelines
Evaluation Overview
Evaluation Type
One-step SIM futures evaluation on CME products – you pass by reaching the profit target without touching the max drawdown.
Account Sizes
25K–300K Full (intraday trailing drawdown) and 100K Static (fixed, non-moving drawdown).
General Trading Rules
Minimum Trading Days
You must complete at least 7 days, unless there is an active promotion that includes a 1-day pass eligibility.
Time Limit
There is no maximum time limit; the evaluation continues as long as the subscription is active.
Trading Hours
You may trade from 6:00 PM ET until 4:59 PM ET; all positions and working orders must be closed or cancelled by 4:59 PM ET.
Trading Day Definition
One trading day runs from 6:00 PM ET to 4:59 PM ET the next day.
Sundays & Holidays
Sunday evening trading counts as Monday’s trading day, and half-day holidays are combined with the next full day (they do not count as a separate trading day).
Drawdown Policy
Full (Trailing) Accounts
Apex uses an Intraday Trailing Drawdown: the threshold moves with your highest live equity (including unrealized PnL). If your balance touches the threshold, the evaluation fails.
Static Account (100K Static)
The drawdown level is static (fixed) and does not move as your balance changes.
Platform-Specific Rules
Rithmic Accounts
Trailing drawdown stops once the drawdown threshold (not the account balance) reaches the profit target.
- Example: On a $50K account, the trailing stops when the threshold hits $53,000.
Tradovate Accounts
Trailing drawdown continues to trail throughout the entire evaluation phase.
- It does not lock at any point during evaluation.
Position & Product Rules
Max Contracts
Each plan has a fixed maximum number of contracts; you can trade any mix of allowed futures and micros up to that cap.
Allowed Products
CME futures and micro futures only (for example ES, NQ, CL, 6E and their micro equivalents such as MES, MNQ, MCL, etc.).
Account Management & Eligibility
Subscription & Resets
The evaluation is subscription-based (billed every 30 days). You can pay for a reset if you hit drawdown or break rules and want to restart that evaluation.
Multiple Accounts
You may run multiple evaluations and later hold up to 20 funded/Performance Accounts in total.
Age & KYC
You must be at least 18 years old and able to pass standard ID/KYC checks when moving to a funded/Performance Account.
Hard Breach Rules
The evaluation account will be considered failed if the drawdown limit is breached.
Phase Transition
What changes from Evaluation to Funded
Profit Target
No profit target in funded phase - trade freely!
Consistency Rule
New consistency rule added: No single trading day’s profit can be more than 30% of your total profit since your last payout (or since activation if no payout yet).

The Upside
What we love
Fast Evaluation & Funding
- One-step evaluation with the potential to pass in as little as 1 trading day (when promo active).
- No maximum time limit to pass – traders can move at their own pace.
Flexible Scaling & Multiple Accounts
- Ability to hold up to 20 funded/PA accounts per trader.
- Contract scaling allows you to increase size as your account grows.
Payout Structure
- 100% of the first $25,000 in profits per account, then 90/10 split.
- Payouts available every 8 trading days with relatively low minimum ($500).
- From the 6th payout onward, no payout cap and potential for 100% profit payouts.
Risk Model
- No daily drawdown; focus is on an overall trailing or static max loss.
- Static account option for traders who prefer fixed drawdown instead of trailing.
Strategy Freedom (Within Rules)
- News trading and scalping allowed if you respect consistency, MAE, and risk rules.
- Flipping and active intraday trading styles are permitted once conditions are met.
The Downside
Room for improvement
Complex Rule Set
- Multiple layered rules (30%/50% MAE, 5:1 risk–reward, Safety Net, scaling behavior) can be difficult for beginners to track.
- Violations may lead to payout denial, account reset, or permanent closure.
Intraday Trailing Drawdown
- Full accounts use an intraday trailing drawdown that includes unrealized PnL, which can stop you out on spikes even if the trade later works.
- This makes holding runners, swing trades, or scaling into volatile moves more challenging compared to static or end-of-day drawdown models.
Strict Consistency & Sizing Requirements
- Sudden size reductions or “all-in” behavior to force a big win are prohibited.
- You must maintain contract sizing that matches a stable, rule-based strategy.
Automation Limitations
- Fully automated trading, AI bots, and HFT are not allowed on funded/PA accounts.
- Only semi-automated tools/ATMs are permitted, with manual control required.
Access & Compliance
- Traders must pass KYC and reside/bank in approved countries.
- Restricted-country list and IP/compliance checks may limit eligibility for some traders.
