Rule 1 (the only rule): do not hit or exceed the maximum drawdown.
Rule 1: do not hit or exceed the maximum drawdown. All Fast Pass drawdowns are End-of-Day.
Do not rely on TradeDay to manage your orders. If you breach a drawdown limit because the software did not liquidate your position or prevent orders from being filled, TradeDay will not reset the account.
Evaluation fails if the Maximum Drawdown Limit is breached.
Quick Pay: None / Fast Pass: 45%
Quick Pay - Intraday or EOD (your choice) -> Always Intraday.
Fast Pass - EOD -> EOD.
A Quick Pay trader who paid extra for the EOD evaluation is switched to Intraday when funded. The EOD version costs $50–$95 more, and that premium buys a gentler evaluation only. Every Quick Pay funded account runs on intraday trailing regardless.
Fast Pass keeps EOD throughout. For anyone who holds positions through retracement, that consistency is worth more than Fast Pass's higher consistency threshold.
Only two rules apply to Funded Sim and Funded Live:
Rule 1: do not hit or exceed the maximum drawdown.
Rule 2: do not trade within 2% of a price limit. Breach means losing the funded account.
Permitted times, products and position sizes remain guidelines — accidental breaches aren't violations, continual abuse loses the account. Funded traders holding positions inside the 10-minute close window get a warning.
If you lose a funded account with a positive balance, profits are returned after the split — except profits from Tier 1 data releases or breaches of permitted times, profits where prohibited practices were found, profits where guidelines were continually abused, and profits earned in a simulated account.
Losing a Funded Live account triggers a mandatory 3-month cooling-off period during which you cannot take any TradeDay evaluation. Returning Funded Live traders are placed back in Funded Sim, not straight into Live.
Losing a Funded Sim account is reviewed before you're allowed to sign up again — and TradeDay states that traders making frequent or large withdrawals that leave an account vulnerable "may not be invited to rejoin."
Quick Pay: reviewed at $10,000 gross profit in each account, independently.
Stop trading when you hit it. Account access is paused automatically during the End-of-Day run (4:30 PM CT) and reviewed overnight, usually resolved before the cash open. Any profit above $10,000 is removed and the balance revised back to the threshold — forfeited, not payable, not transferable, not carried into an extension.
On transfer, only profits remaining (gross minus withdrawals) move across, subject to the same tiered split. TradeDay's example: $10,000 gross, $3,500 already withdrawn, $6,500 remaining → $2,500 at 80/20 plus $4,000 at 50/50 = $4,000 transferred. Maximum drawdown is then set to $0.
Fast Pass: moved to Funded Live automatically on the 5th payout request. The Funded Sim account closes; a new Funded Live account opens at $0 balance with the same EOD drawdown and the same starting position limits (2/3/4 contracts).
90/10 split, trader keeps 90%.
Up to 5 Funded Live accounts; you cannot buy new accounts while holding one.
Professional market data fees apply — you're classified professional by the exchange.
Slippage rules apply, and TradeDay can reduce position limits.
The Fast Pass Funded Live buffer, using a $50K example: the account starts at $0 with a −$1,500 floor. Grow to $2,000 and the floor trails to +$500, which locks as your protected slippage buffer. You can then withdraw, but must leave more than $500 to have anything to trade with. If the balance touches $500, the account closes and the remainder is paid out.
TradeDay itself has no inactivity policy.
All first payout requests are security-screened before release. The full list is long; the items most likely to catch a legitimate trader unawares:
The two pathways have completely different payout structures. This is the single biggest reason to choose one over the other.
Eligibility is almost nonexistent. No milestones, no consistency requirement, no buffer. You can request your first payout after one day of trading, any time your balance is positive.
Minimum request: $250.
No maximum, no cap, no limit on frequency.
Requests before 5:30 PM CT are processed within 24 hours (business days).
The profit split is tiered by current profit in the account:
More than $4,000 profit, and payout leaves more than $4,000 - 80/20
Splits are calculated per account, not lifetime. Each funded account is assessed independently.
The gross-profit trap. Quick Pay balances and TMDs are based on gross profits — current profits plus payouts already taken. The TMD keeps trailing even after you withdraw. TradeDay's own table shows it: a trader banks $500 and takes it out, balance returns to $50,000, but the TMD has moved from $48,000 to $48,500 permanently. Every withdrawal tightens your floor. This deserves prominent placement — it's the mechanic most likely to surprise a Quick Pay trader.
Structured, gated, and capped — the opposite of Quick Pay.
Payout caps — 50% of account balance, plus a hard ceiling:
Account — Opened on/after 26 Jul 2026 — - Opened before 26 Jul 2026
Caps were cut for newer accounts. If you're writing for existing holders as well as prospects, both columns matter.
After each payout, your new balance becomes the starting point for the next cycle. You must be profitable from that new level and post five more qualifying days.
Do not resume trading with a payout pending. TradeDay is emphatic: your next Day 1 begins at the start of the following session, not the one in which the payout arrived. Request Wednesday 7 PM CT, receive Thursday 3 AM CT — that Thursday sits inside the Wednesday–Thursday session, so Day 1 doesn't start until the Friday session opens at 5 PM CT Thursday. Payouts processed Saturday mean Day 1 is the Monday session.
First payout raises the TMD. If your trailing drawdown hasn't yet reached the starting balance, it jumps there and freezes.
Funded account fails if Maximum Drawdown Limit is breached.
TradeDay verifies your trading location. Logging in from restricted regions or masking your location may put your account at risk.
Payouts processed within 24 hours.
Day-one payouts available. Payouts processed within 24 hours for requests submitted before 5:30 PM CT.
Minimum 5 trading days required to pass evaluation.
VPN usage is restricted due to compliance requirements.
DCA is permitted within standard risk parameters.
Scalping is allowed. High-frequency automated scalping that exploits latency is prohibited.
Automated trading systems allowed but must comply with anti-exploit standards. Hedging, popular bot services, and third-party signal exploitation are prohibited.
HFT strategies and latency arbitrage are strictly prohibited.

What we love
Quick Pay
30% consistency is softer than Fast Pass's 45% in one important respect: exceeding it raises your target rather than failing you, and 30% of target is a clearer planning number.
Fast Pass
45% consistency — the most permissive threshold TradeDay applies, and it still only raises the target rather than failing you.
