For Vest's linear perpetual contracts, position quantity = dollar exposure ÷ entry price. With a stop loss, risk-based quantity = loss budget ÷ absolute entry-to-stop distance. Use the smaller quantity allowed by your risk budget and available buying power. Estimated margin = quantity × entry price ÷ leverage.

Official Vest leverage and quantity rules (English)Official perpetual contract specifications (English)
A $25,000 account at 50X leverage has $1,250,000 of modeled buying power. With no existing exposure or dollar cap, a 25% allocation gives a $312,500 position.
At an illustrative NQ price of $30,647.62, that $312,500 position equals about 0.51 NQ or 5.10 MNQ contracts of price exposure. These are comparison units, not a perpetual order ticket.
With a $125 loss budget and a 100-point NQ stop, the modeled size is 1.25 underlying units: approximately 0.06 NQ or 0.63 MNQ equivalents. Actual loss can exceed the model because of execution and costs.
A perpetual position size calculator estimates how many market units to trade from your account equity, leverage, entry price and optional stop-loss budget. This perps calculator currently supports Vest Markets. The quantity is a perpetual position size, not a standard forex lot or a CME futures contract count.
For Vest NQ-PERP, divide your dollar loss budget by the distance between entry and stop. A $125 budget with a 100-point stop gives 1.25 NQ units before costs, subject to available buying power. In Stop-loss risk mode, enter both prices and your loss budget; the calculator applies the lower of risk-based size and the buying-power limit.
No. NQ-PERP is a perpetual contract with no expiry. Vest uses market units: 20 NQ units have the gross price exposure of one NQ futures contract, and 2 units match one MNQ. For ES-PERP, 50 units match one ES and 5 match one MES. Pricing, fees, funding, margin and account rules still differ.
Buying power equals account equity × allowed leverage. Subtract existing dollar exposure, apply any per-position cap, then multiply by your allocation percentage. Divide that dollar position by entry price to estimate underlying units. In stop-loss mode, units are also capped by loss budget ÷ absolute entry-to-stop distance.
No. Allocation is a share of available buying power. Loss depends on position size and the price move. Use stop-loss mode to model a planned dollar loss, and account separately for fees, funding, slippage and your firm's remaining loss allowance.
Only if your terminal uses the same contract specification. Perpetual venues can size in underlying units, dollar notional or venue-specific lots. Futures and micro equivalents are exposure comparisons. Check the actual multiplier, minimum quantity and order step in your terminal.
No. Official Vest Markets mark prices are collected every 15 minutes and stored as a shared snapshot. These are not live mid prices and can differ from another firm's terminal. Snapshots older than 45 minutes are unavailable. Enter a price manually if needed; no example price is substituted for a missing quote.
The calculator defaults to Vest funded accounts: NQ, YM and RTY allow up to 50X; ES 75X; CL 10X; GC, SI, PL, HG, NG and BZ 5X. Vest primary accounts allow metals up to 25X and NG/BZ up to 10X. Select Vest Markets, then choose its account type or Custom leverage to model a different limit. Always confirm market availability and account rules in your terminal.
