Lucid Trading sells one-time-fee simulated futures evaluations and straight-to-funded accounts across four product lines, trading as Lucid Trading Group LLC, with a documented path from simulated payouts to a real brokerage account under LucidLive. Its differentiators are operational rather than structural: an advertised 15-minute average payout with no payout windows, 5-30 minute activations, no monthly billing and no activation fee. The rulebook is unusually explicit - separate articles define hedging, high-frequency trading and microscalping with the exact detection thresholds and the enforcement ladder - and it is permissive where many firms are not: DCA, trade copiers, automation, genuine scalping and even flipping for minimum trading days are all allowed, and news trading is barred only on LucidDaily. The costs sit elsewhere. The restricted-country list is one of the longest in the sector at 76 countries plus five Ukrainian regions, and it excludes citizens as well as residents. Refunds are effectively unavailable once an account is traded. Every position must be flat by 4:45 PM EST, so no overnight or weekend exposure is possible on any plan. And the live transition, which is the firm's headline promise, is entirely at the risk team's discretion and closes every remaining simulated account when it happens - reaching Payout 5 is described as the ceiling of a plan, not an entitlement to real capital.
