Payout Methods
- Bank payout through Plane, the firm's payout provider: “Navigate to ‘Payout Method’ and set up a provider such as Plane”. Onboarding collects “US Citizen or US Taxpayer status, Government ID Number or Passport Number, Payout Type (e.g. Plane), Payout Email”, after which the trader creates a Plane account and signs the contract; bank details are held at Plane, not DayTraders. A payout profile may be registered as a business (legal business name, address, EIN, formation documents, business bank account) even though the trading account itself must stay individual.
- DT Wallet — site credit instead of cash, for simulated payouts only: “If you are eligible, you can choose to have an approved simulated payout credited to your DT Wallet instead of receiving it as a bank payout”, minimum $100, credited instantly, “No transfer fee”. It is not a withdrawal: “DT Wallet funds cannot be withdrawn as cash”, the choice is irreversible once approved, and “Live account payouts cannot be sent to the DT Wallet and must be sent to the bank.”

Trading Rules
What's allowed during trading

Two of the firm's own documents disagree. The Evaluation Account Rules (updated 2026-08-24) permit it: “Yes. Traders are allowed to hold positions through market close, overnight, or over the weekend.”, with the condition that “open positions are subject to mark-to-market adjustments… If the adjustment causes your account to hit the maximum loss limit, the account can be failed” and that “DayTraders.com will not close your positions for you at market close”. The Terms of Use say the opposite: “All positions MUST be closed prior to 5:00 PM CST or prior to the market close, whichever is sooner”, and “your positions will automatically be flattened… about ten seconds prior to the closing bell at 5:00 PM CST”.

The current No High Frequency Trading article explicitly requires manual trading and tells traders to ensure trades are conducted manually. HFT algorithms and excessive rapid executions are prohibited. Supported copying among the trader’s own accounts is a separate documented exception; third-party account management is prohibited.

Own-account copying is supported through Onyx and the rTrader Pro Copier. The rTrader copier costs $10 per month and expires at 5:00 PM ET on the last calendar day; it must not be combined with another copier. Onyx follower accounts need margin and position limits at least as large as the lead, cannot be traded manually while following, and may receive different fills. Third-party trading, account management and sharing strategies for copying remain prohibited under the Terms of Use. Rithmic handles technical support for its copier.

Same contradiction as weekend holding, and the same two sources. Permitted per the Evaluation Account Rules (“Traders are allowed to hold positions through market close, overnight, or over the weekend”) but exposed to mark-to-market: “Note: Your account will not be failed if you hold a position through market close or over the weekend. It will be failed if it hits the drawdown because of M-to-M adjustment.” The Terms of Use nevertheless require positions to be flat before the session close and describe an automatic flatten. No overnight margin or holding fee is published.

The dedicated article bans it inside one account as well as across accounts: “hedging across accounts or within the same account is strictly prohibited”, including “No Simultaneous Long and Short Positions: Traders cannot simultaneously hold long and short positions on the same asset within any account, regardless of the trading strategy” and hedging through correlated instruments (long NQ in one account, short ES in another). The Funded Account Trading Rules summarise it more narrowly — “It is prohibited to be long in one account and short in another account” — and the Evaluation Account Rules simply say “Hedging is not allowed during the evaluation phase at any point”. Consequence: “Violations of this rule may result in the suspension or permanent closure of the accounts involved.”

The Terms of Use prohibit VPN/VPS use on accounts and the purchasing rules reject VPN payments. The current Trading with Multiple Funding Companies article recommends a VPS for connecting multiple platforms. These official statements remain unreconciled; the legal prohibition is retained.
